if it was just the money thing than i would go for definatley stay put, a couple dollar difference should about even out all the expenses it would cost to drive there, but if its also a "better job" like you say than that about brings it over the top, go for the new job....life is about taking risks, dont settle for anything less in life if u can have more, but most importantly think whats better and more important to you. Maybe in the new job youll be able to grow more in the future than the job you hold now, in that case its well beyond worth it. "Learn to say no to good today so you can say yes to the best later."

well i don't think it would be worth it to commute. the few extra dollars are gonna go to gas and toll fees. its always better to work close to home anyway. a lot of perks, like eat lunch at home, if you forget something homes not too far away, on those long work days and you are dog tired home is right around the corner. see home is sounding real good right now isn't it. a commute is never worth it unless you can't find any other jobs or the company is paying all expenses

Stay closer to home
I made the wrong decision on this a year ago.
I now spend 2 hours a day in my car.....missing time with my friends and family.
A better job opened up close to home just a couple of months after I switched :-( Bet one will for you as well!

Spooky,
Take the new job only if you are absolutely sure it will be a good move for you.
Your current job is a good one AND close to home. That says a lot. Not everyone can say they enjoy their jobs, and in Los Angeles few people live close to their jobs.
I have a good job that is close to home. Actually, my job is great. I don't see an offer that could take me away.

get an easypass and do the better job if you can. If it's better, I'd go for it. Easypasses you can pay one solid pay for a tollbooth without having to pay every stinkin time you pass that thing. If the job means that much to you, GO FOR IT! If it doesn't, then do the easier route. If it feels right, just do it. What's in your heart is what you should decide to do as a job. If it isn't your career, I'd still shoot for the stars, prove that you want to make your way up! ;-)

I think you aught to stick with the job that you have right now. Possibly you can save some money and be able to move closer to the area where the better paying jobs are. Then it would not be so hard on you. Hope this helps.

you've got to completely think this through. Are you secure where you are will you be secure where you're going? Where do you have the most room to move up? do you Like the people you work with/for? Do you know the people where you may be going? too many variables to leave this question to strangers without the whole equation. what are the jobs?

Stay where you are until you find something with higher pay there. A few dollars more won't pay for 2 extra hours taken out of your life everyday! Not worth it!
