I don't know why he said **** like that, but this is exactly what the illegal war was all about-the black Iraqi gold. That's right! It's the very oil all there for Bush's buddies to extract every drop of it from Iraqi soil, much to the huge expense in lives! Does he care about the slain American soldiers, numerous Iraqi police officers and security forces, and a huge number of civilians? **** NO!!!!!!!!!! Bush is there just for the dollar to line his ******* pockets! And not to mention his incompetent *** has been getting rich off it during the last few years!

Why did Bush say, "Oil is a good reason to stay in Iraq."?

Cnn does not always tell the truth. They sometimes say things to make people look bad or twist things around to do the same thing. he might have said that but said more that was not actually quoted that could explain why he said it.

Personally, after hearing Lou Dobbs speak, it's obvious he's extremely anti-republican. It would just fit his image to claim that Bush said the U.S. went to Iraq just for oil. But Bush really said "we will leave the oil in the hands of the terrorists" if we get out of Iraq now. He didn't say the U.S. went in for oil. Don't always take Lou Dobbs' word as written in stone.

you'll have to cite the entire source for me to believe this quote.

sorry, don't believe it.

edit/update: i just did a query on cnn and lou dobbs and nothing was cited as you state. if bush made such a statement, it would be front page stuff. doesn't exist.

Like it or not.
1, Oil is worth ALOT of EASY money
2. Large, poor yet weapon wealthy countries need oil.
3. terrorists posessing oil who prefer weapons over money = bad news.

Think about it.

Kerry said the troops were stupid, not Bush

Bush said that if we leave now, we will leave the oil in the hands of the terrorists. Though it was not his reason for invading Iraq, no intelligent person can deny that oil is an important resource best not left in the hands of such people as TERRORISTS!

Hear he said(a good reason to stay in Iraq is to guard the oil fields)

He doesn't care about the troops in Iraq because when some of the troops had to leave Iraq because of their mental conditions over there, they mailed out letters for them to go back to Iraq. I mean, when you're over there there's some things that'll make you lose your mind but does he care, NOO!!
Then there's the Iraqi people whom had their country and we've never heard about since he and his father made it to office. I mean, he sent people to another country to take over their country! Does he care, NOOO!!!

Okay... So CNN claims something and instantly you accept it as the gospel truth, no strings attatched? Sorry, but CNN is no trustworthy source. Personally, I call it pure B.S.
