Okay, a witch is a person who has learned magick from a traditional source, either male or female.
A magician is a guy (or gal) who entertains people by performing non-magickal / sleight of hand illusions in front of them.
Sorcerors and Sorceresses envision a change, feel their power, and throw power at the situation until it changes the way they want. This can be magick, or psychic ability, or domination, or confidence-game/ emotional manipulation, we generally don't care as long as it works.
Enchanters/ enchantresses use magick to manipulate the attentions and emotions of others.
A wizard is someone who has thoroughly researched one or more varieties of magickal traditions, whether they can cast or not, to the extent that without being able to do it, they can teach it to others who can,, or at least put a roomful of witches to sleep while droning on and on and on and on...oops, sorry!

Enchantress: Seductive female hypnotist
Witch: Female who uses various spells rather than pray for an ends to her means.
Wizard: Same as witch except more powerful; in fact that's why the female had to become a witch.
Sorceress: Female concentrating on spells for other people.
Magician: Trickster

echanter/enchantress - one that uses his/her power to imbue items with energy, thus giving them special properties, such as resistance, durability, so on, and so forth, a witch or wisard channels his power from other spells and potions, a sorcerer/sorceress uses the power of spirits to accomplish his/her will, and a magician channels the power of the great void, or twisting nether into material and non material thungs, such as fireballs... that concludes our lesson on magic users.

Just a thought but why don't you go to dictionary.com and type those words in instead of making other people do it for you? not to mention, the answers would be more accurate than anything we supply.

they are all simply descriptors that people use to describe themselves and their paticular brand of magick. i would prefer to ba called a Magi or Wizard, but my beliefs are much more akin to that of a Priest of Cleric. but that is simply my personell preferance. they are just names none are more powerful than others, each individual ahs the ability to be great.
