What cereals do you recommend that don't pose choking risk once he's done with having baby cereal? I am guessing regular cooked oatmeal, cooked cream of wheat, any other tasty options that are safe?

you can start giving baby cream of wheat at 9 months old. regular oatmeal at 1 yr only.

Yes, all of mine loved instant oatmeal, cream of wheat and even grits. Also, you should be able to eggs soon. Ask your pediatrician when on the eggs. The rest is going to be around 8 or 9 months I would guess. Some are earlier and some later. My kids didn't like baby food too much.

I tryed my daughter who is now 11 months old on baby cereal and baby food starting when she was about 4 months old and she hated it.She would not eat it for anything.She just went straight to table food that we gave her in small peices.We not give her fruit and cream oatmeal(she will only eat it from her daddy's bowl) cheerios,she has had life and corn flakes,captin crunch,

by 10-12 months he sould be able to eat most adult food, provided they are diced into small pieces for safety. My son would not eat baby cereal, but ate malt o meal and cream of wheat by 8 months, as well as cheerios and kix.
