the car is a Ford Probe

if no, why not? -- the rim fits the car obviously.

NO.
At least the ones I have looked at use a narrower rim than the full size and the wheel is offset, meaning the tire would not be centered properly in the opening and would rub on something when turning.
If you want to get a full size tire as your spare, first check that it will fit in the space provided for your spare. I do not know the specifics of your car, but there have been some built that would not hold a full size.
If it will fit and you only want it for a spare, call around to a few salvage yards and get a price for a used wheel and tire mounted and balanced. There should be a few out there. Buying a new wheel at the dealer will be expensive............

the inside diameter of a full size tire will not fit the rim of a spare. A new rim can't cost much for a ford probe. Better yet, check the junkyards for one.

Nope...The rim fits, but a full size tire is bigger and wider. Also the small space for the spare will not handle the full size tire.

No you can't because the outside diameter of the standard rim and the space saver rim are two different sizes, hold them up to each other and you'll see the difference. good luck

It's the width of the tire that is critical & makes it not only impossible but damn dangerous. It's the width that counts. It has absolutely nothing to do with diameter. If you do get it on there & you see me hitch hiking......Don't STOP...
