looking for the title and artist of the song?

I'm looking for a song that I heard. It's not a new song and I heard it a while ago. It tells you how to move to the song(music) like this:

...clap your hands (clap clap clap clap...) ...step to the right(left)..... slide to the right(left)... jump to the front(back)...stomp your foot...get down to the floor 'till you can't no more...go up high etc.

I really can't remember too much but our kids were dancing and seemed like they were having a lot of fun. Can some one help me??

I do believe you are talking about the Casper Slide Part 2. But it also goes by the Cha Cha Slide. And DJ Casper performs it. Hope that this is it!

yeah, it's either cha cha slide or the electric slide. they play that song at school dances sometimes. it's fun. they played it at prom and other school activites with a dance time.

The Cha Cha Slide is a dance created by Chicago's DJ Casper, aka Mr. C. It is an update of the Electric Slide, and includes DJ Casper's called-out instructions.

DJ Casper developed the Cha Cha Slide in 1996 for Bally Total Fitness; it became a hit with gym members, and the dance's popularity prompted Mr. C to record Cha-Cha Slide: The Original Slide Album in 2000. The following year, the dance caught on around the USA, where urban contemporary radio stations (and later mobile DJs), particularly in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Arkansas and Detroit.

In Europe the song is commonly played in night clubs and discos, especially around the Mediterranean.
