Why vote? Even if your candidate doesn't win, you have shown the parties that you are one who doesn't agree with them.
Why do Rep/Dems get voted in? They are the 2 biggest parties in the country with the most money.

Because as long as republicans stay in power there will be no campaign finance reform and we will never be able to get a third party elected.. Democrats don't represent me very well either, but if we want change, we need to get the corporate influence out and that includes voting out a lot of the democratic leaders during the primaries in 2008... One step at a time.

Thats the problem with American democracy, your supposed to elect someone to represent your best interests but instead its always some rich, ivy league aristocrat who will drag you to war. So I guess you should vote the lesser of two evils or start voting for people like Ralph Nader in previous elections, he wont win, but you dont have t vote for those other two

i visit vote Republican, i do no longer consider a hundred% of the flaws that Republicans do yet as quickly as I take a seat at residing house waiting for any party to rule precisely the way I prefer i wouldn't in any respect vote. i might somewhat have 80 5% of what i % than a hundred% of each little thing i do no longer %.

Because our government was set up as a two party system by the founding fathers. Whigs & Tories gave way to Democrates & Republicans over the past two hundred years.

Well it's two things, One it is your right to choose who you wish to represent your opinions and second as a citizen it is your duty to vote for a duly constituted representative of masses. As the two are the major parties in any election they have the majority of supporters who constitutes the votes required to put them in office.

Vote for the independent instead. It will send a message to both parties! They do look at the results.
