My boyfriend and I are about to have sex for the first time, and I don't want it to hurt. Would it be ridiculous to ask the gynocologist to break my hymen? I guessing it would be but Im curious to know!

It may or may not hurt, depends on how great the foreplay is. If the foreplay is great and you're lubricated enough, trust me, you won't feel as much pain, in fact it can get very pleasurable after a while. If the foreplay sucks, and your not wet enough, believe me, it's gonna hurt, but just relax and make sure your totally ready!

I'm sorry but yes it would be quite ridiculous.
Most times during sex the hymen doesn't even "break" it just stretches. You definitely could ask your gyno but don't expect him to keep a straight face.

Don't tell your OB/GYN to break your cherry. Give your boyfriend the honor of doing that. Yes, I know that it will hurt, but you've saved yourself as a virgin for this long, why not give this to the person that you love and who loves you?

Maybe I'm just old and don't remember but I didn't think It really hurt bad at all. Just relax and theforeplay is important. Enjoy yourself and use protection. As far as asking your OB... I think they would laugh..

It doesn't really hurt that much and afterwards its nice anyway. Just relax with your boyfriend and it won't hurt so much. And be safe :-)

No its not ridiculous, you can ask him/her to do that for you. It's no big deal, they do it for ladies whose hymen is very thick.
