It's just a political party. There are two main political parties. The Democratic party and the Republican party. The Democratic party seems to have been taken over by left wing nut extremists, so many former Democrats have switched to Republican.
If you own a business, and pay lot's of taxes, you might find the Republican party appealing because it looks like the Democrats want to ban business altogether like it's a sin to make a buck.
Many Republicans believe that there is a holocaust going on in America under the guise of the right to privacy, or reproduction, but is actually just a holocaust called Abortion.

With the level of "out of control" Congressional spending, both parties should have to suffer for selling this country down the river. They are irresponsible and short-sighted.

The democratic agenda sucks. I'm also relatively conservative. Those are the main reasons. I'm always willing to argue my points. I like what republicans stand for.

Why do people choose to be liberal, or moderate, or anything else?

But more importantly, why are some people incapable of accepting the fact that there will always be people who disagree with them?
