I say sure why not, but just try a little bit to see if they like it.
Something else you can do is mix a little baby cereal in there milk or formal, this will fill up there tummy and not make them as hungry often. This is good before bed time, this will make them sleep longer.

There has been some people that has givin a young baby a small taste of icecream or other foods.Never seen anyone feed a whole serving to a baby that young nor do I think the baby will tolerate the coldness of the icecream. The milk and sugars is bad for a 2 months old tummy......................I post my answer and I said that there has been some that has givin a young baby a small taste of icecream or food and I get a thumbs down.Do you think I made that up? Did I say I agree with it or disagree? I only stated what some people give their babys.

You 'can' give a baby anything - but is it right or healthy for them, no. A baby wants and needs breastmilk or formula, and nothing else.

And for all those saying 'our grandparents gave our parents other things/I gave my kids things and they are fine' you must not read any medical journals. The increase in obesity, diabetes, allergies, and other health issues has been astronomical. Link to giving babies things they shouldnt? You bet!

Please, keep in mind that your baby only have a certain number of insulin receptors in his body, and these have to last his entire life span.

So, please don't give him ice cream because:
1. Ice cream is not good for him. It has little or no, nutritional value.
2. Ice cream and sugary snacks MAY "burn out" his insulin receptors leading to childhood or early adult diabetes.

Please, put your baby's health, above your desire to spoil him with sweats.

Unless you want a dehydrated baby with diarrhea and a touch of "hypeness"(for lack of a better term), I wouldn't do it if I was you.

Also at about the age of 3 months my family starts to put a few tablespoons of rice cereal mixed with formula in the baby's bottle. It helps them sleep longer at night and prepares them for a change in diet.

A 2 month old baby should not be given ice cream.
I agree with the rest of the ladies, it would be too rich
for the babies tummy.

Its OK just to taste it, not to give the baby the whole cup of ice cream.
I did that to my baby since he was 3 months old, just a very little bit ice cream...and he is healthy...

You really shouln't give a 2 month old anything but breastmilk or formula thier stomachs can't digest anything eelse really it is still developing. And if you give them something else they could build up an allergy to things.
