You are not of the age of majority until 18 in Canada, thus you Cannot sign any legal documentation, make business deals, apply for credit, or even write you own absence notes in school. In order to by pass all this one must be emancipated, it is almost like divorcing your parents and deeming you better fit to care for yourself.

Until the Age of 18 you will need an adult or guardian to sign EVERY thing for you, thus you cannot sign a lease, get utilities in your own name. Nothing. so let's just call the age you can move out.. 18.
