1/4x+2=3/4x
bring the 1/4 x over to the right hand side
2 = 3/4x - 1/4x
2 = 2/4x or 1/2x (after simplifying
multiply by 2 on both sides of the equation:
x = 4

If x is part of the denominator of each fraction, multiply each side by x and you have 2x = 1/2, or x = 1/4
If otherwise, 2 = x/2----> x = 4
