No, it depends on which form of the gene (dom or rec) is more advantageous. For example, having 10 fingers and 10 toes is recessive. 12 fingers and 12 toes is dominant but you see it rarely. Just because something is dominant doesn't mean it will show up more often, it's just more easily expressed.

not necessarily...if the dominant trait is more harmful, then the recessive trait will become more frequent as the dominant genes die out without reproducing. i know there are a few diseases that are caused by dominant genes, but most people have recessive genotypes for it. i believe there is a type of dwarfism that's dominant (obviously we aren't all dwarves) and there are plenty of autosomal dominant diseases out there.

Yes, they are because they are always expressed physically if both the genotypes are dominant or one is recessive and the other dominant.

Recessive characteristics can only express themselves only if both alelles are recessive.
