How do you quit a job you just started without burning the bridge just in case you need to revisit them for re-employment. Obtained the job and now I have to move out of the area because of personal reasons which are not urgent, but because of a bad relationship and having no place to live. What should I say?

You tell them just that!

Your reason is very valid, though you simply need to say you need to move out of the area for unexpected personal reasons.

Give your two weeks notice, and offer to help train a temp in the meantime.

Be prepared, though, they may give you your final check before the two weeks is up.

Tell them the truth - you are unexpectedly going to move. Don't get too sordid, but explain that your current living arrangements aren't working out.

Include that you hope that they would be open to considering you again for future employment - and if you can, make the offer to stay for two weeks (but expect them not to be too interested if you just started, since you are probably still learning your job.)

And, unfortunately, you should expect that they may not be willing to consider you in the future. But, if you can be honest and professional, you increase your chances. (And don't worry too much about it if they don't, you obviously need to take care of yourself - and it sounds like you are! You can find a new job.)

Best of luck!

You write a nice letter and explain the circumstances and write that you enjoyed working there and would like to have the opportunity to be re-hired, when your problems are resolved.
Hand it in personally so your employer can read it while you're present, if he asks you questions, answer truthfully and look very apologetic, keep eye contact and don't fidget. Be sincere.

Me personally wouldnt tell them all my buisness, just simply appologize and tell them thanks for the oppertunity and something has come up and that you have to move away and can no longer work there. Just make sure you put in your notice first so they'll know you really wanted the job and you want tryion to stick them and just quit. There's more jobs out there anyway, but sortta hard to find the right ones for you.

Just tell the truth, or atleast the basic portion of it. You don't have to reveal every little detail. They either understand, or they don't.
give a written 2 week notice, apologize and suggest that maybe in the future you will be more able.

The best thing is to be honest. Your employer will not be happy, but will respect you for honesty.
