The Montreal Canadiens is my favorite Canadian team, followed
by the Calgary Flames. Ottawa is cool. I miss the Nordiques-Canadiens rivalry though. I think the Senators are the closest
things the Habs have to a regional rival who plays the European
style of hockey that was employed by the Quebec Nordiques in
the 1980s during their glory years in the NHL (Statsnys, Tardif,
Goulet, Hunter, Richard, Cloutier and others) made the Nordiques an exciting rival for the Canadiens, especially in the playoffs. The Canadien dynasty from 1976-1979 was a nice balance of offense and defense. They could win at both ends of the ice. The 1986 and 1993 teams were more defensive-minded teams.

Probably it is Edmonton if I use your definition.
The problem with this question is that there is no true Canadian team, except for the team that plays in the Olympics or the Canadian national Junior team. Canadians play everywhere, and the Canadian teams are full of international players. I am a NJ Devils fan, but Brodeur is Canadian. Do you cheer for him when he plays in Canada?

Living in Michigan, I get to see alot of the Toronto Maple Leafs of Windsor 9.. So for the longest time they were my second favorite team period.. but lately, I have enjoyed watching the Calgary Flames, and actually look forward more to watching them when I can than Toronto..

I like Ottawa, and i kinda like toronto. Only because of Jeff O'neil, Paul Maurice, and Ron Francis use to play for them.

Hmmmm. You like the season but don't seem to mind the continuous playoff CHOKE.
I'm a Leaf fan and I don't have much to get excited about either.
