no she won't die, she may eat them but it is best 2 do a water change as the eggs that may sink 2 the bottom will rot away and are not the best 4 your fish, if you have a male put her in with him during the day if you see that she has dark stripes going up and down her body and she is fat, that is the sign that she is ready 2 spawn, if she is not ready her stripes are lighter and go along her body, when she is in with the male don't be worried 2 much about her as what you will see is normal 4 the male 2 bite her, take her out at night as she make attack the male at night and his fins will become torn, after all that it reminds me i have 2 do a water change as mine layed eggs last night

The male take the eggs and puts them into the Bubble Nest. When he finished the Female will be exhausted and may float to the bottom, but, remove her or the male will kill her. The male takes care of the eggs.
If, you not have a male nothing happens.
