I have heard, and found through my own experiences, that when I like the way someone tastes (kissing and other things) that I get along very well with that partner. And when I don't like the way they taste, I get along rather badly. Does anyone know if there is a scientific basis for this? I've heard of pheremones causing attraction but I would like to know both scientifically and experientially, have you found this to be true? If you are in a long term relationship with someone, in love, or whatnot, does it go without saying that you enjoy the taste of his or her mouth (and more) ? In my limited experience it does but I really want to know what others say.

I completely agree. Smell and taste are very important, and I couldn't be with someone who didn't taste and smell good to me.

It has something to do with the immune system - you are attracted to people by their smell/taste because their immune system is different from yours. Therefore, if you have children together, they will be stronger and healthier than if you both had the same kind of immune system.

No are u joking? I don't think so the compatibility has to do with your communication with eachother and how well u agree and disagree on things and learning from eachother.
