I'm very sorry you feel that way. Honestly, I can relate. I'm 24 and I just decided this year to go back to college. I'm only a Sophomore because I worked a lot after high school. The truth is, college isn't necessarily for everyone. Yes, it's a great idea for most people, but truly not everyone needs to go. Is there something that you are interested in... that you have a passion for? Have you ever thought of owning a business? A friend of mine is obsessed with coffee (so am I, actually!) and he decided to open up his own coffee shop. It was a lot of time, money, blood, sweat, and tears... but man is he happy. The end result is wonderful. It's just a thought... don't be afraid to take some time off school and figure out what you want to do. Additionally... it really sounds like you're suffering from depression. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and it's very, very treatable. Consider seeing your physician for some help and counsel. Good luck on whatever you decide!!

If you are not getting anything out of your college experience, seek out a carreer counselor on campus, they are there to help you find what you would do well in and enjoy.
Since Music is a part of your life, why not look into carreers besides being a rock star that you can do with music? I know of churches that are in need of a good music leader (of course being Christian is also a requirement).
There's also local playhouses that use musicians to provide the music for the performances, schools need band and music teachers.
Anyway the nice thing about being 21 - you don't have to map out the next fifty years of your life right now!!! Figure out what you want for the next five and go for that. Things will fall into place as you grow and develop.

Find the reason why you are frustrated with your life and take steps to change it. Take back that passion you had for doing something accomplishing something. It might take awhile but it will be worth it.
But find a place where you can jam with a couple of people so you can get back into music. Seems like you liked it enough to be a musician.

It sounds like you may be depressed. I would talk to a doctor about some therapy and/or anti-depressants. Being tired all the time, anxiety, not taking pride in accomplishments, losing interest in favorite activities...these are all classic signs. Once you get your depression under control I think you are going to be able to answer this question on your own. Best of luck to you.

You should follow the advise of so many good hearted kind folks here and seek out a MD for possible depression treatment. Be honest and state to him/her what you have stated here. You are so young and life has so many wonderful things to experience and appreciate. You should should still be feeling passion every morning you awake for what the day will bring. Don't wait another day see a doctor.

Most people who have artistic personality has your problem. So it means you are not alone. Most of them tend to shift their moods one way or the other. They mostly had problem dealing with "what to do with their lives". But on the otherhand, most of this type of personality has a caring heart. They can love a person unconditionally.
So if you cannot make up your mind about something to do with your life, try to join a group that takes care of the needy in your place. Think of soup kitchen. You can be a great help while you're trying to sort out what to do with your life later on.... Try it!!! It works on me, it might work on you. Good luck!!!

Start small and work from there. Two things I would suggest:
1. Eat healthy. Good nutrition is an important influence to your well-being.
2. Exercise. Exercising increases oxygen flow to your entire body and releases dopamine in the brain. Double bonus!
Good luck to you! You can contact me if you need another underachieving 21 year old to talk to.

Figure out what you are best at and what you are most interested in (both academically). No one here can really tell you. You won't find any direction from putting yourself down, though.
