A small amount of milk was spilled. Five of the keys aren't working but everything else is fine. Would I need to replace the entire keyboard? Any ideas on cost?

Typically you can pop the tops off the keys. Just be careful doing so. Once the tops are popped douse them in rubbing alcohol and then take a Q-Tip or similar and use rubbing alcohol to clean the other parts. Then snap the keys back on and you're good to go. Otherwise, it's a new keyboard as you can't buy individual keys.

I find it harder because the keys have two pivot points they are attached to. A new keyboard can be acquired for as cheap as $10 at your local Walmart, and will be good quality. You can take the keys off, but chances are you need to just clean them, If you choose to do so, make sure you know how to put the keys back on properly, take them off, clean the individually, wipe the contact area of the keyboard (where the key hits the pad inside) and replace the keys. You should have no problems after that, if you do, it's time for a new keyboard. ;-)

Download the service manual from your laptop manufacturer (dell.com or hp.com etc). They will tell you how to remove the keyboard. Its not too hard and should only take an hour or so.

Note: Take a picture of the keyboard first so you know where to put the keys back again...haha
