That happened recently to my 1998 Plymouth Voyager. I took it to the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and asked them to tell me what the code is. They attached an expensive gizmo (which is why I don't buy one) to an interface under the dashboard and a readout said P0133 O2 Sensor Slow Response. I looked it up on the Internet and found out that there may be something wrong with the oxygen sensor.

This is what you should do - go to an Advance store and find out what the code is. Look it up on the Internet, and take it into a repair shop and tell them to fix whatever caused the code.

By the way, you mean sensor, not censor, don't you? You can't edit out the temperature; everything has a temperature. Generally if something needs censoring in an automobile, it usually occurs in the back seat in drive-ins, which don't exist that much any more.

The check engine lite means more than temp. Changing a seneor or any other part without knowing the problem is a real waste of time and money. Some 1994 cars have obd 2 computer emission system installed. Go to Auto zone or some big auto parts store and they will read your trouble codes free. The codes will tell you what the problem is.

Hard to tell you from here. There are many things that could cause a check engine light, ranging from not tighening the gas cap, to bad sensors.
My best advice would be to start by running to your nearest Auto parts store that offers code reading(Advance auto, Autozone, Checker) They can read the code and tell you what the computer is seeing that it has a problem with, and they can help you from there.

This means that there is either a problem with the ECU or one of the sensors to or output from the ECU.
A dealer needs to read the fault codes and then tell you what to replace, not a home mechanics job.

Try taking it to a shop and having them check the computer. The computer will kick out codes that will tell them what is wrong with the engine.

Have a mechanic download the error code.
