If I lost any rights from the Patriot Act, I haven't noticed. I have nothing to hide. I'm not plotting againts our government. Nor am I sympathizing with terrorists. So, what's the big deal? If it's not affecting you, why worry about it?

Don't forget, the Patriot Act was the first act in recent history to pass unanimously in both houses of congress.

The Nazi party gained power through propaganda and systemically scaring the German people into submission by using the economy and the country's "enemies". Under the Patriot Act, police officers no longer are required to give the "knock and wait 3 three seconds" procedure when at a house of a possible crime scene. One of my close friends was held in jail for 30 hours without arrest or charges pressed against him under law dictated by the Patriot Act. If you actually believe the administration hasn't looked at library and bank records of average joe living in Kansas City, Missouri or some other random locations you're fooling yourself.

I have NOT suffered the loss of a single right & since I am NOT doing anything wrong, I won't either. Tap my phones, I don't care... If giving up a few things will keep us safer, have at it. If a little inconvience is what I have to put up with, oh well....

Hey Skippy!!! Ask yourself that same question about Clinton & the other pathetic RABBITS "YOU" so blindly follow????

Brian N: WHO CARES??? If I am NOT doing anything wrong I have nothing to worry about at this point. I am NOT blindly following anyone. I keep up on what is happening. I know we have to be careful about what the government is doing & keep track of their plans, but I will NOT hide & see conspiracy in everything, which is what the Democrats are trying to get people to do so that they can win elections. I am a registered Independent, I will show trust UNTIL I am given a REAL reason not to. I will NOT listen to the "This could happen" "That could happen" On 9/11 we ALL saw what DID happen, THANKS TO THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION sitting on their thumbs for 8 YEARS & IGNORING the red flags & warnings!!!!!

Me personally? I have lost nothing. In my everyday life of housewife, mother, grandmother, grocery shopper and friend, I have lost no rights. I do fly, and yes, I have to take off my shoes. So what, they kill my feet anyway. I have gone to Canada by car. Yeah, I had to show my license. Not a Big deal. I haven't lost any rights from where I stand. my life has not changed because of the Patriot act. (sorry if I sounded harsh or sarcastic, Been here too long I guess.)

If you'd stop making drug deals over the phone, and racking up your mothers phone bill by calling the NAMBLA porn chat line, then you wouldn't have an issue with the patriot act would you?

those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

a true Patriot stands ever vigilant for the rise of dictators and despots within the context of power given. only the slothful and the foolish will trust without question the erosion of their liberties, liberties hard won can be so easily lost to complacency.

I guess I consider the damage done to the Fourth Amendment (which is VERY real I might add) to be a little more serious than you do.

The real question is "why do you trust Bush and his conservative cronies so implicity?"

Are you really that naive?

Constitutional Privacy as written in the United States Constitution. However, don't worry, the Democratic majority will drag Bush and his cadre back into Constitutional compliance....or start impeachment proceedings.
