he did serve in the military. and so did many in the national guard or the coast guard. because he didn't go to vietnam doesn't mean he dogded the draft. i remember a lot of my friends joining the coast guard or the national guard to serve their country in those branches of the military. because he chose the branch of military he wanted to serve in doesn't mean he was any different than Kerry. After, all I knew many he thought if they joined the navy they wouldn't end up in Vietnam. Some didn't some sailed in ships around the world and others ended upon Uboats like Kerry. Don't think for a minute that he joined the navy to go to vietnam. most of the guys i knew first comments out of their mouth was to join the navy so they wouldn't have to fight in vietnam. i knew some guys that shot themselves so they could go home.. wonder if that is what kerry did? shoot himself so he could go home?

Are we still beating this dead horse? Give it up!!! He's out of office in a couple of years. Then you will have another Republican to ridicule.

Remember, Bill Clinton didn't serve AT ALL and neither did any of the Kennedy clan.

Yes I know JFK servered. But aren't we talking about Viet Nam?

That is almost as bad as Kerry calling our troops dumb when he was one himself. Talk about a loser! Democrats of all people should know a hypocrite when they see one.
