I try and do my own thing and see it myself even if I am with a group. Whilst tour guides burst with information its information I don't need, if I wanted information I would have stayed home and read a book about it.
I'm there for the experience!

Up front or thereabouts, where I can hear the tour guide and not miss any of it. You miss half of your tour if you can't hear anything. I like to learn by listening to the information as I view the scene.

I am usually the one lagging behind, still trying to see everything.

You stay in front of course, only though, if you want to see the natural splender first. But if you want to enjoy the natural splender longer, stay behind.

A group tour... doesn't work for me. I end up exploring on my own & finding the "real" sights to see! =)
