Gateway Laptop repair in Buenos Aires the video sound chip is apparently not working?

My son is studying in Buenos Aires and his laptop has no sound. The tech says the sound portion of the video sound chip is burned out. Any suggestions of repair shops that know Gateway notebooks

if it is emachines sell it (cause emachines suck all they ever do is fall apart) if its a regular gateway take it to best buy they will repair it for u
