Do you have a suggestion for an economic problem?

I have a research paper to do, and I wanted suggestions for any interesting topics for my economic problems class. There is no other criteria except that it has to be within the last 2 years. I would really love to hear what some people find as interesting topics! Thanks ahead of time!!

What level economics... what is the economic focus???
I personally love the problem of resource allocation in a capitalist system. The fundamental premise is that consumers are rational thus they buy what they believe will maximize their satisfaction with as little resources as possible. However, it's been show that some of the satisfaction received is perceived and not an actual (inherent or quantitative) attribute of the product. Hence society spends resources to develop perceptions and attain perceptions. In what sense is that a valuable use of resource (or not)? What are the economic benefits and draw backs of pursuing either perspective?

The basic economic problem is a term used in economic theory. It asserts that there are limited resources for infinite human wants or scarcity. It involves what goods and services an economy should produce, for example should the emphasis be on public services, housing, agriculture or manufacturing. It also determines how the goods and services should be produced, capital or labour intensive and the efficiency.

Find out what it costs to maintain the state and national parks!
Now figure in to leave these parks to be maintained by the community and the Chamber of Commerce...might see how creative they can be in maintaining their own parks...beginning with city, then state and national parks. Now how much does our Government save ....you'd be amazed!
