Something I did to help me was I went to i-tunes (I was burning a cd of music for the reception). In the i-tunes music store I found where people can create their own playlists, called iMix. I did a search on "weddings" under the "iMix name" and I found TONS of other people's wedding mixes. I went through most of them, and made a huge list of songs I liked. Then to narrow it down, I gave it to my fiance. . . and he removed the songs he absolutely hated.

I hope this helps, good luck and best wishes on your wedding!!!

OK-- I'm just gonna give you this one. I discovered the song a while back. I think it's a great wedding song. It's a mushy love song by Ben Harper. Check it out:

Not Fire Not Ice

There is not a river wide.
Not a mountain high.
And neither sin nor evil.
Could change how I feel inside.
Could change how I feel inside.

Not all the strength of the ocean.
Not all the heat from the sun, from the sun.
Now, others have tried, I just can't deny.
For me you are the one.
For me you are the one.

The true love is priceless.
For true love you pay a price.
But there's nothing can keep me from loving you.
Not fire, no not ice.
Not fire, no not ice.

Like a hero or a champion.
You are the best, you're the best.
Like religion or superstition.
With you I am blessed.
With you I am blessed.

Now the river may grow wider.
The mountain may reach past the sky.
And wether or not you feel the same.
My love shall never die.
My love shall never die.

The true love you give and take.
The true love is sacrifice.
But there's nothing can keep me from loving you.
Not fire, no not ice.
Not fire, no not ice.
Not fire, no not ice.

The best song I have heard for a wedding dance is a recent release by Heartland, " I Loved Her First". It is the perfect song for a father/daughter dance if you are close to your father or stepfather. Otherwise, I can't think of anything else, sorry.

I guess you don't need to know any slow love songs but I think the new Rod Stewart cd is awesome, it has slow and upbeat love songs the best of the best and how about Shania Twain songs, From this moment, you're the one, etc.

You Are The Sunshine of My Life by Stevie Wonder. I had that played at my wedding in place of the wedding march.

My cousin had Crossroads from Bone Thugz in Harmony.
The old people were a little mystified about it, but it was cool.
