I was in Beunos Aires a few weeks ago, and it was not that different from most other big cities - lots of shops, so the retail industry has to be a big one.

There was also abatoirs, leather works, leather goods manufacturers and lots of leather shops. Believe it or not, the duty free shop in BA airport sells raw meat. I have never seen a butchers' counter at any other airport anywhere in the world! So along with retail, the other big industries are those associated with processing animal products. If you ever get to visit, just beware teh taxi drivesr who will try and take you their uncle/brother/cousins' leather factory and leather goods shop if you show even the slightest interest in leather products. But the steaks are really tasty!

Buenos Aires is an amazing city; it's an amazing city that appears a bit like Europe, but having an edgy Latin American perspective and if you intend to visit this town then take a look with hotelbye . El Puerto Madero is just a place properly visited. It served as the main port of Buenos Aires throughout the late 19th century but know is changed into structures that could be applied as residences, restaurants, stores and different firms and to give that project a bit of flair, all roads in the region were named after women. Strolling through the Puerto Madero is a superb way to pay a pleasant evening just like visiting El Obelisco. El Obelisco was integrated 1936 to honor the 400th wedding of the city founding and now's a must-see place from Buenos Aires.

You're kidding, right?
If thousands of sheep and beef cattle are raised, how do you think they get from that pampas grass into the frig?

I would expect to find leather producing companies, clothing factories (sheep=wool=clothing) slaughterhouses, glue factories (yes they still make glue out of hooves) meat processing plants, lots of farming (for production of feed for said animals as secondary to the grasslands)
