Isn't it true that a person can break records and set records but never win a Superbowl. I want to know what he has done so great. And, why he has been in the league for almost 9 years w/o winning the playoffs or the Superbowl if he's so great? He is one thing, a chip off the old block. His dad hasn't won one either. He is probably the most overrated player in the NFL, not T.O. At least T.O. went to a Superbowl. Last time I checked, they were not giving out any rings for record breaking or record setting.

to the guy above me saying peyton is whiny, you're a moron. he's in no way complaining to refs approximately calls and a minimum of he's no longer a splash pooswa that calls roughing the passer effects for the ref each and every time somebody gets interior 5 feet of his knee. Peyton Manning is hands down the best QB interior the recreation. call another QB who instructions the sphere besides as he does. he's the organic definition of a field well-known. The colts does no longer be almost the gang they're without him, alongside with if brady or brees have been on the gang. no one is as consistent as Manning, no one throws an more desirable ball than Manning, no one has extra suitable verbal substitute together with his receivers, and no one has ever worked as annoying as Peyton does. Peyton Manning is the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning is the NFL. Brees is a great quarterback, yet he's no longer the biggest reason the Saints are stable now: in the previous their protection replaced into more desirable, they have been a mediocre team at best. Brady has consistently has a stable protection in the back of him, something Manning and Brees have not consistently had. Now that the Pats d isn't that stable, you notice that they are suffering. Roethlisberger does not belong interior the comparable type as those 3 and not even the insane steelers followers might argue that he does if his protection hadn't won 2 great bowls for him.

Peyton has already broken records without winning a Super Bowl. If he keeps playing at the level he is now, he could shatter all of the records. He is definately one of the elite QBs in the league. But to be considered the best QB ever in the NFL, he will need a ring or two. Sorry Peyton.

to understand things like this, you really need to understand the game of football, and anyone who’s been a lifelong cardinals fan has a head start over all you guys!
EXAMPLE: with good players coming out the cardinals *** for the last few decades, (Jake Plummer, Marcel Shipp, Fitzgerald, Bolden, Boston, Johnson, Hodgins, Blizzard, Dockett, Role, Wilson, Hayes, Berry, Rackers, McCown, Edge, Lienart, and so on...) they still sucked and have now surpassed the detroit lions as the worst team in the NFL, this is (partly due to bad coaching now a days, but...) is not at all fault of the "Players" ("Players" meaning those listed, a good half the active 1st team) they are still good, some have records, and the ones that leave go to post-season, and have been MVPS in superbowls.

point is, so many factors influence these things, that Jesus Christ could kick, punt, and kick off for the Titans and they would still lose, whereas someone like Matt Mauck, Koy Detmer, or John Navarre could QB for the 60's packers and they would kick ***, though with more turnovers and more rushing game.

point is, i dont like manning, but he is good, he has vision and escape, and has the abillity to get the ball through the defenders and to his targets, but the QB isnt the only guy on the field.

no offense at all, but i suggest that you really look at the game your watching, and when looking at people, throw most of the stats out, and go on the abilities, stats are too influenced by the poor play of ones team-mates. (or the good play if them in some cases of stats being wrong the other way!)

He has great stats and it takes a TEAM to get to the super bowl not just one player. Oh and don't even compare Peyton to T.O. and say T.O. is better than him just because went to a super bowl and T.O. is the most overrated player in the NFL. Have you seen how many passes he has dropped this year? Besides Peyton still has time to win a super bowl.

Manning is a really really good QB with excellent knowledge of the game. He has great receivers and a solid O line. However, he has struggled in the big games in the playoffs, and his defense makes it necessary for him to carry the team and put up a lot of points. This does not detract from his personal greatness.

Freaking grown up will you !! You got bias all over your question. Is he an elite quarterback? Damm right. So give him the respect he deserves. There is not a team in the NFL that would not trade the farm for him. Its not about the Superbowl. When did the Superbowl have anything to do with be the best player in the NFL in one position. So basically you are trying to say NO One can be the best cornerback, linebacker , kicker , running back, etc. etc. unless the make it to the Superbowl.
Do yourself a favor and stick to another sport you might know more about .... say like.... basket weaving !!!! You sound like someone who is a Patriot Fan or something.

By your logic, Trent Dilfer, Ben Rothlisberger, Brad Johnson, and Jeff Hostetler are all better than Peyton Manning.

Does this also mean that Tommy Maddox is better than Peyton?

Because his team is the only undefeated team in the NFL and he wins almost every game. you dont have to go to the superbowl for that

There called stats buddy. And it actually takes the whole team to win championships unless you thought the QB did all the work.
