I once saw a poster (in an art teachers office) that said
"Originality is merely unconscious plagiarism." It really made me think about the subject...you decide.

I have had interesting thoughts and unusual thoughts, but how do we know if they are original? No one documents all thoughts like a patent office. I have invented things and have searched for an exact item and did not find it. But still I am not convinced that they were original. Maybe when a baby is born and you are one of the first to see this baby and you think of something like, "I wonder if she will like peas." This might qualify as an original thought.

Most definitely. Wasn't it original to create the computer, electricity and all of the other things that have been created? Most thoughts that we have are original even if they do not amount to anything. Even your question is an original thought. Thank you for your question.

all the time people have original thoughts. there is an infinite number of possible thoughts, and every day many of the thoughts you have have never been thought of before. Of course they're mostly trivial thoughts, but still original. Its possible to have thoughts about thoughts about thoughts etc. and so on any one topic there could be an infinite number of thoughts.

Everyone has original thoughts and ideas, because nobody is quite like them or has the same exact make up for how they percieve the world. Even if the differance is small, you are always thinking about something a little differant then anyone else.

At least that is what I think. :)

All thoughts originate from somewhere. It is the origin of the original thought that one should fathom.

Yes, I think there're some people with their original thoughts and, therefore, we've had a lot of inventions. I believe Thomas Alva Edison had his originality regarding his thought.

I have many original thoughts...but I am deemed inane by the masses...because I don't follow the masses...thus capitalist greed...nor the love of money and selfishness at the expense of other species on the planet...
