The songs might be in a format the player can't read. My car wont play burned CDs because it doesnt recognize the MP3 format.

Your cd player might be dusty or dirty and needs to be clean. You can buy a cd/dvd cleaner at walmart. All you do is insert the cleaning disk and they do all the work for you. Hope that works.

Could be a dirty lens. Or maybe you keep hitting the eject button by mistake.

try resetting it. especially if it is a car stereo. the procedure should be explained in the owners manual that came with it. this happened with my car stereo and resetting it worked for me. good luck.

if they are scratched some players wont play them. also it may be time for a new stereo system, that's what my kenwood did before it fried
