3. King Arthur's sword which in Welsh legend it is known as Caledfwlch. More commonly known as Excalibur.

EXCALIBUR DOESN'T EXIST (really).
I would have to say the Samurai Sword is probably the best designed sword.
European swords (such as the EXCALIBUR type) were heavy and unwieldy. It takes a lot of energy just to lift the darn thing, imagine swinging it in a battle.
Persian (marati) swords have balance and can be thrown with great accuracy over short distances. They are also rather light and can be managed easily in close combat.
The foil and epee are excellent for dueling and fencing.
But, this is all so subjective.
