It is, but very unlikely. I'm thinking 5%, somewhere in that area.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT I AM NO DOCTOR or in anyway qualified to give the advice below!!

My non expert view is:

Can you get pregnant? It all depends, if there is a way that live sperm could have enter your Vagina.

Most people in your situation do not end up pregnant.

As long as you followed the instructions properly you should have a less than 5% chance of becoming pregnant. Check the website of durex or your condom manufacturer for an exact probability.

I don't think your sexual experience makes a difference, nor does the amount of time spent in intercourse.

I don't mean to contribute to any anxiety you may have, but there are reasons other than splitting that cause condoms to fail.

For example, if your man used his fingers and there were traces of semen on them, if the Condom leaked, the outside of the condom became contaminated or semen enters your vagina through any method, you could become pregnant.

As a long term contraceptive on their own, they are not that reliable.

Maybe in the future it would may be a good idea to combine your use of a condom with something else, the pill perhaps. That way you are as well protected from pregnancy and disease as posible. Remember, nothing is 100% safe, and the pill is not for everyone, ask a doctor!

If are worried about pregnancy, it is worth bearing in mind your cycle. While the rhytm method is not a very good method of contraception in its own right, if use a condom during your safe period, it can help minimise the probability of pregnancy working this out may put your mind at rest a little till your period arrives.

You are most LIKELY to get preganant by having unprotected sex around ovulation. There are plenty of websites to estimate when this happens, enter your cycle length etc. The trouble is, most people or websites don't know when they ovulate with any accuracy. Your Doctor wil also help you with this and advise suitability.

If you used Condom properly and happened to be in your safe period, the chances of prenancy are lowered, less than that of using a condom on it's own.

The rhythm (safe period) method on its own (no condom or other contraception) is really only for couples who don't really mind if they get preganant and ready for parenthood if it happens, in my opinon, and will not protect from HIV, clamidia etc.

I would only consider the rhythm method in an 'after the event' case. I would not use it as a planned method of contraceptiion.

From personal experience. I have probably used a condom 400 times, not the same one!! My (now) wife did not conceive until we stopped using this contraception, maybe I'm a bit on the small side!! I have friends who have had failures that resulted in pregnancy, I don't know how many they had sex with condoms before they failed, didn't like to ask!

As I understand my biology lessons, the surest way of not getting pregnant is by not having sex and not letting anything that may be contaminated with semen entering your vagina.

See a Doctor, they will give you a better guide to probabilities and general advice, even if you are under 16 I beleive you can see them without your parent(s) or Guardian. Whatever age you are, get good advice from a suitably qualified medical professional if you are at all concerned.

Yes it is. Condoms are only something like 95% effective - and that's if they are used correctly. Anytime that you have sex, there is the possibility of becoming pregnant, but I would say that if you used a condom correctly, then you mostly likely will not get pregnant. Your virginity has nothing to do with getting pregnant. If you don't use some kind of birth control, you can definitely get pregnant your first time.

The failure rate for a condom that has been used properly is about 3%. If the condom is abused, the failure rate can rise to 15% or higher. Use of additional contraceptives such as spermicides will reduce the risk somewhat.

The fact that you just lost your virginity is irrelevant. The length of the sex is also irrelevant.

Congratulations on being one of the smart people! It seems that the entire purpose of Yahoo answers is for idiots to try to feel better about their stupidity i.e. I only had unprotected sex once. Tell me I can't be pregnant. Wah!...

There is almost a 0% chance of you becoming pregnant, since you used a condom. Duration and virginity have nothing to do with it though.

If the condom was used properly and there was no contact of seminal fluid with the woman's vaginal area, the risk of pregnancy is low. However accidents can happen. It's best to use two forms of contraceptive to be on the safe side, such as a condom and the Pill, or a condom with a spermicide foam.

The chances are very low. But it is possible in following ways:
1. Due to several reasons, there may be hole in the condom or in other word the condom gets brust.
2. After having sex, if the female plays with male genetials, there may be sperm in the male genetial left. And if female from the same hand plays with her genetial, there is rare chance of being pregnant again.

Yes, Condoms are only 95-99% affective if used the right way. If you had sex there is a chance you could be pregnant.

Yes, condoms are 98% effective if used properly.
This means that in a year 2 women in 100 will get pregnant using condoms.
They are still one of the most reliable forms of contraception as no form of contraception is 100% effective.

the chances are very slim like 2% in 100 with the condom not breaking. Using condoms and if they are used properly like not ripping etc is a very reliable form of birth control, no need to worry about pregnancy.
