They just don't like what President Bush is doing right now with the War on Iraq, They know that everything is going great with the economy, and that just drives them crazy. Liberals seem to think more than act.

First of all, all Democrats are not liberals, just as all Republicans are not ultra-conservatives. In fact, it is the moderates who will be deciding this race, if indications are correct. When one party is in control and has a stranglehold on the entire government there are no checks and balances. Where has that gotten us? In a mess the Republicans seem unable to clean up by themselves. Cut and run is a slogan created by the Bush machine to slander all Democrats and is b.s. Most reasonable people, Dem or Repub, realize we can't just march out of Iraq tomorrow. But we sure need a better plan to get the hell out of there in a reasonable amount of time. Not ficticious timelines that the Iraq Minister tells us to shove where the sun doesn't shine. What can the Democrats do better? We need to find out, and fast, because the Republicans have mucked things up so bad the next President is going to have a problem the size of Vietnam on his/her back.

The Three Stooges could do a better job. Your ignorance about the war is amazing - the war is over. What is going now is between Sunnis, Kurds and Shites, not the Iraqi military and the US military. As for your cut and run crap, well if our involvement is so great over there, how come you haven't joined the others getting shot at? And by the way, getting out of that fiasco that you want to label 'cut and run' is admirable, courageous and in the best interest of ALL Americans. You sound totally ignorant of Viet Nam. You are one of those guys that think you have to fight to be a man, shoot someone, kill someone else g*o*d* *d*a*m*m*i*t our pride is at stake - let me guess, you have a small winky and drive a big truck, right?

Our last president only got into trouble for letting a psycho hose-beast chase him down. He didn't support torturing people who may or may not be terrorists. He didn't intentionally kill thousands of Americans to get the nation to back him. He didn't run a secretive, bull-headed, and intolerant administration. He wasn't such a jerk that his own people didn't warn him when a category 5 hurricane was heading straight for a major American port city. He didn't lie to get the war he wanted. He didn't require Loyaly Oaths.

So you think we should be in Iraq instead of securing our own borders here in the U.S.? You think those billions of dollars should be going to Iraq instead of being used to strengthen our own country's transportation and education systems? You think it's ok to be pulled over in your car by just any cop because you look a bit suspicious to him? You think it's ok to have someone listening in on your personal phone calls for no just reason? Be glad there are liberals in the world my friend... otherwise you wouldn't have the freedom you have to write a question for yahoo.answers.

I'm not a liberal. Get that straight.
Suppose we partition Iraq into 3 countries --Kurdistan, Shi'ite Land and Sunni Triangle. Those three countries will want to defend their borders and make their own policies. Three countries instead of one -- is that cutting and running? "No."
Opposition to the Patriot Act: I oppose the Patriot Act because it is in violation of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution. People have a right to be secure in their houses -- that means a cop has to KNOCK and announce his presence and wave a WARRANT. "No warrant shall be issued except upon probable cause" signed by a judge. The Patriot Act denies everyone that constitutional right. It's unAmerican. (And there's another reason below).
Disclosing detainee base locations overseas -- required by Federal Law to comply with the Geneva Convention of 1949.
Opposing foreign wiretapping of terrorist suspects -- the USA does not have the right to wiretap in, say, Europe. These are our ALLIES who'se laws we are breaking. (see additional reason below).
AN ADDITIONAL REASON: IN World War II, The Germans parachuted 39 agents into England to spy on Britain and the allies. 39 out of 39 were picked up within 12 hours. Why? Because people trusted their king and government and did what they could to help and to turn in suspicious persons. EVERYONE WAS A BORDER GUARD. With the illegal Patriot Act, most Americans are going to get their noses out of joint and get mad that they are unjustly under suspicion. Similarly, it is shameful and annoying that our governmenet breaks the law and wiretaps our ALLIES AND FRIENDS in Europe. Suppose I see a suspicious person. Am I going to alert a snoopy, busy-body, rights-destroying government? "Probably not." neither will millions of others. Therefore the USA is NOT a nation of border guards as England was during World War II precisely because of the rights-destroying policies you insist upon.
You do not know what you're doing. Free people cooperate with each other and weed out the bad guys. Angry people under unjust suspicion keep their mouths shut and don't care what happens to their authoritarian, incompetent government. And you yourself are shrilly supporting an authoritarian group of gross incompetents.
Weren't you just a little bit ashamed that German and Canadian citizens were flown on US money in private jets to third world jails to be tortured and terrified for months at a time? These are citizens of NATO allied countries mistreated "indirectly" by the USA because Cheney is a coward! Snap out of it!
Since you don't trust free people to defend themselves, it has never occcured to you that indpendent voters like me have joined the Democrats to take over Congress and undo the coitus being performed on the American people by "W" and Cheney and their stinkingly incompetent intelligence community.
Free people respect each other's dignity. It's a better defense than burning the Bill of Rights. Remember this tomorrow night when the election returns are coming in. It isn't just liberals -- it's all free thinking people who are tired of an incompetent administration that picks the wrong fights and then demands dictatorial power to blunder on to the next dopey scheme.
I'm sorry you've been conned. I'm sorry you want to label people and judge them, rather than fairly think through the serious blunders we are making.

We don't think we can, we know we can. It's pretty hard to get any lower than the current bunch of idiots in power without starting a civil war.

1. Because we can.
2. The fact you have fallen for the 'cut and run' propaganda, illustrates your lack of political knowledge.
3. Bush and chronies have done more to damage our constitution(freedoms) and put us in danger than any terrorists could have ever dreamed.
