So I want to go to UIC. I was wondering, i got a 31 on my ACT, however my GPA is around 3.5. I also havent been in that many after school activities. Only theatre and speech team. Do i have a shot?

You'll make it in to UIC. UIC looks primarily at two things: ACT/SAT score and class rank. As long as you are in the top third of your class, perhaps even lower, you'll make it.
The only issue will be if your applying to either Honors College or GPPA.
The personal statement is optional for regular admissions. If your concerned, visit a UIC admissions person.

Yeah you still have a good shot. Theatre and the speech team are 2 really good activities and as long as you can show UIC how marketable you are you have a good chance. Great gpa and test score. Keep your head up and stay confident in your abilities and the university will love your confidence. Hope that helps!
