my hubby and I are TTC and we had a still born son at 5 months gestation.
after he was born, my periods shortened and now they only last 2 days!!!

can that (the shortness of my periods) impede us or decrease our chances of conceiving again?

we want a live baby this time btw.

Of course you want a LIVE baby. No one wants a dead one. I don't believe that period length determines fertility. But then again.... I'm not an expert nor a doctor. Just my theory.

my hearts goes out to you. I started to cry because i've been in the same boat. We decided not to have children and we are going to adopt. I was not and easy decision for other of us to make but we both agreed upon it with me have pcos and him having a heart disease.

Your period has nothing to do with it. Your ovulation cycle does. If you speak with you ob/gyn on it they can help you. You might need a little help and you know what that's okay.

Probably not... in some cases it can indicate that your uterine lining is thinner than you'd like for optimum chances of conception. Usually it doesn't mean anything.

Considering that you had such a late miscarriage, I'm guessing you've consulted with your doctor about conceiving again. If they don't think there's anything wrong with your new, shortened periods, I wouldn't be concerned.

The length of time the woman bleeds has little bearing on whether she can conceive or not. It can take several months after a birth or miscarriage for her period to get back to normal. Be patient, and good luck.
