they have no hair they dont nurse their young and the babies dont play they are all fundamentals needed to be classified as mammals

Sharks are just fish. Mammals give live birth to their young, all fish including sharks lay eggs. Mammals nurse their young, fish don't. Thats a start.

Sharks aren't mammals because they don't give birth to live young. Shark lay eggs which are black and is all twirly. Also most sharks are cold blooded and mammals are warm blooded.

Because they don't nurse their young( all mamals produce milk for their young), and they don't have lungs(they breath with gills).

Had to add this since a few others don't know, sharks can and do have live births! Other species of fish also give birth to live offspring. This dosen't classify them as mamals.

The lack hair, mammarily glands, and are not endothermic (warm blooded) which all characteristics of mammals.

there's only one answer to this question. forget about hair and other stuff (there are hairless dogs etc and other mammals, not to mention the whale family). they don't suckle their young. no mammalian protruberances (ha ha) ie teats from which milk is sucked. maybe ask your parents to buy you a dictionary for christmas or whatever; it will prove invaluable for learning.

they breathe thru gills and can breathe underwater. mammals must surface for air and breathe with a blow hole or their mouths.

Because they don't breathe air, they are not warm-blooded, they do not bear their young alive, and they do not breast feed.
