in what way? to be honest, i don't think we are. Who's to say we are greater than any other country in the world? we are probably the most corrupt, and our government is definitely not the best. We are afforded much more opportunity than many other countries, but there is still a lot of horrific injustice in this country. would that be consideration for a great country?? We also seem like the most ignorant country (look up "ignorant" in the dictionary, it means unaware, among other things). Our priorities aren't straight, like education. and the most terrifying thing about all this is that the most any "proud and patriotic" american will do about this is vent his frustration on yahoo answers. way to make a difference in this world:D!

I'd say probably Norway or one of the other nordic nations that - despite high taxes - have a very high standad of living AND a fabulous, extensive network of humane social service programs that pretty much everyone - not just 'the poor', benefit from.
And come on, really, who hates Norway?

you can bet you a;; it is now and has been for a long time but, with as many people trying to destroy it how long can it last, the Dem's and Rep's seem to be on a course to destroy our country, and one hell of a lot of it's people also, these people who want to criticize this country should go to another country for about a week that would be long enough for them to get educated
