Leftists economic doctrines are absolutely proven to be outright failures (see Hiyak vs Keyes debate). Among educated people and the entire community of Economists, there is absolutely no question about the total and complete doom and certain failure inherent in almost all leftists economic positions.

Given this FACT, what in the hell could be 'progressive' about the left? I concede some positions on social issues, but in my esitmation, leftist dogma has much higher 'fundamentalist odor' to it than the even the zaniest Pat Roberston follower.

I see religion as a problem, but I dont see religion in the narrow way leftist media otufits want me to see it. Why should I prefer a Leftist Zealot to a Baptist Fundy? Seriously...think about that? When you think about it, the idea of God is a tiny, almost insignificant detail.

Fundies have religious books...that it? LOL...distinguish that from absolute starry eyed reverance leftists have for Marx's Manifesto...please...

The problem, as it applies to the US, is in Constitutional interpretation. The liberal agenda requires a distortion of traditional Constitutional interpretation, "a living, breathing document," that seems to change with the will of the majority.

The radical Christian right adheres to the traditional Constitutional interpretations.

One can destroy America. The other can just keep it from degenerating.

"All leftists economic positions" are inherently failures..... hmmmm..

It's amazing then that the country has survived almost 230 years when most of the government programs that have been initiated have been done so by progressive leaders promoting social rights.

Yes, much of government spending is wasteful, and many programs are a bad idea. But broad sweeping generalizations like those above are so mindlessly and obviously incorrect that it seems you are more interested in provoking a rally than actually opening a dialogue. Which is sad, but typical of extremists.

????????

As far as I know, it's ok to practice Christianity. I don't remember anyone saying that is bad. The problem is this country WAS FOUNDED ON FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Do you mean to tell me we should only practice Christianity? What about the Jewish community? What about those who practice Buddhism? We do have peaceful Muslims in this country, what about them? Believe it or not, those who are Atheist have a place in this country as well.

It is a melting pot country, and we need to keep it that way.
