I'm really worried about my mom (awww yea I know lol anyways…) cuz she is having bad pain in her hands and feet like they are burning. She said she felt better after she massaged one foot but doesn't have the strength to massage the other. But she can still walk and grab things normally. She has a small fever too. She started to hurt about two days ago while shopping with her friends. Thanks for your help

Registered Nurse here; The symptoms you described are pretty vague. However you did mention an elevated temperature, this is a sign of infection. Where I don't know, As for the burning in her feet, sounds like nerve involvement, could also be a condition called neuropathy, in lay terms(decreased flow of blood, circulation to the extremities). Causes are many. I strongly suggest you get your mom into see a Physician. This is your very best source of evaluation, and treatment, whatever the cause it's just started which is important, in the fact the odds are in your mom's favor of a physician having a solution to this problem and not simply treating the symptoms.
Thanks for the opportunity to address your question. Your mom is lucky to have such a thoughtful person looking out for her.

When i experienced burning of my hands, it was because my hands were swollen from pregnancy. Maybe she is pregnant? Hey you never know(lol). Seriously, she should go to a doctor. My cousin is in her 50's and she started to experience burning in her feet. Shortly afterwords she found out that she had diabetes. Also, see if it maybe nerve damage. A friend of mine has had a burning sensation in her feet ever since she was in a car accident. Good Luck and Best Wishes to your Mommy!

It also could be that her hands and feet are cut off circulation and that the heart is not pumping blood to them, this could create a numb or burning sensation like you explained. But your best bet is for her to see a doctor.

Sounds like some form of virus. Take her to a doctor if she doesn't get better in a few days.

could be infection or virus, a doctor should help. if not that it could be due to decreased blood flow, which may be why the massages help.
