It has been years since I learn't how to use microsoft word and excel. Because of so many changes and because it is a be all and end all to every job I apply for I am failing and not being given a chance or look in for a job. Alot of my jobs held don't always give the opportunity of using Microsoft wd or excel or even to up-skill. I so desperately need help and need someone to help me through this. I am just new to this country and am desperately needing a job and need to be given the chance. My money is starting to dwindle and so if don't get a job soon may have to go home which is NZ. I love it here very much and the people here are so lovely. So I am begging for some help here.

Try to locate a Mavis Beacon typing tutor. My daughter 'played' with it for a couple of years and (at the age of 14) she types 160+ word per min. I can't even compare with my piddley 13 wpm.

It may take a bit of time to practice, But focus on the games. They work better at helping you memorize the keyboard and bring up your speed. It is all she did! she never went through any of the lessons! The CD runs about 10- 15 $ American here in the states, but alot of people resell older 'used' copied for a pittance, and they work just as well!

I hope this helps?

Oh hey i had a class that used a book called Microsoft Office 2003 vol 2...Look for it on a discount bookstore online. It should help you up your skillz in Microsofts newer interfaces. and the book was kinda fun!

No, you haven't any longer twisted up your existence, no longer by potential of a longshot! you're confronted with a venture of taking a different direction than people who're at present around you, yet that would not propose that the direction isn't precious and supply you precisely what you like, and greater. you would be a seen or a palms on learner, wherein case a vocational college gets you right into a bypass of discovering for top paying in-desire positions interior the form or mechanical industries. those are somewhat great professions. i might propose which you pass to a training counsellor and talk those opportunities. looking something to do this you adore is greater precious than suffering to maintain up with a fashion of discovering that's no longer working for you. It would not propose you lack intelligence, what it does propose is which you're sensible in fixing or making issues and discovering by potential of doing. a lot of persons, myself blanketed are like this.

I suggest that you take a copy of the typing guide to practice your fingers directly in the keyboard. This will allow you to be familiar with the keys. In addition, take a 15hrs course for both word/excel or browse in the website for free tutorial. It will save you a lot. I my self do not have an experience 10yrs ago and tried the same steps.
