16x^2 = 8x - 1
16x^2 - 8x = -1
16x^2 - 8x + 1 = 0
Factorise the polynomial to get all possible values of 'x'
16x^2 - 8x + 1 = 0
16x^2 - 4x - 4x + 1 = 0
4x(4x - 1) -1(4x - 1) = 0
(4x - 1)(4x - 1) = 0
Obviously 4x - 1 =0
4x - 1=0
4x = 1
x = 1/4
