What about zoning laws? can you be arrested? how do you know where to go & which one you can take? How do you find out?

There are Christmas Tree Farms all over the place. You can cut down your own or pick one out to be cut down for you. Some of them also sell the tree with the root ball so you can plant it in your yard after Christmas.

Perfectly legal if on private property with the owners permission, State, Federal, Regional parks, reserves, forests illegal. The answer of a Christmas tree farm is the way to go.

There are Chrismas Tree lots where you can go and everyone just goes and picks out a christmas tree they like and cut it down, i think some places even provide you with a saw!
