There have been many attempts at making a combination washer/dryer through the years but have met with failure mainly due to the water seal of the drum shaft. A seal can be made very successfully to just seal water from leaking out of the drum shaft for a washer but when it comes to the heat from the dryer it causes the seal to fail.

The biggest difference with clothing and dishes is that dishes do not absorb much water therefore it does not require much to get them dry. Clothing gets saturated with water and even when spun at high speed are still wet. A "T" shirt after being spun still has more water in it than all of the dishes in a dishwasher load.

The Equator Clothes-Processor is a combination washer-dryer that actually washes and dries your laundry in one unit. The Clothes-Processor is designed to save you TIME, SPACE,WORK, and MONEY. The combination washer and dryer is more energy efficient, and takes up much less space than conventional washer and dryer units. Because this machine has both washer and dryer capabilities, you never have to transfer loads from one machine to another.

Features:
Fully Automatic: From washing to drying cycle

Ventless Drying: No ventilation is required for the EZ3600. Which means you may install it any enclosed area without having to worry about dryer exhaust heating the room.

Better Cleaning At Lower Costs: Horizontal axis or "front loading" uses less water. Therefore, it takes less energy to heat the water and less detergent to clean your laundry.

Quality Inside And Out: Clothes-Processor is made of sturdy galvanized sheet iron. Inside is a stainless steel drum designed with thousands of holes so water flows from the drum quickly during the spin cycle which, in turn, speeds up drying time.

Stability: Equator Washer-Dryers are famous for their stability and vibration-free silent operation thanks to precision engineered shock absorbers and a spring suspension system.

Adaptability: The special "F" connector* (included) lets you connect a single inlet hose to your Clothes-Processor. This allows you to run the Clothes-Processor when only a single water outlet is available (e.g, kitchen faucet).

I had a mixture washer dryer decrease back contained in the early 70s, and also you're correct - they are very accessible.. yet, they are also very unreliable after a lengthy time period. All that lint that you stumble on on your prevalent dryer clear out receives moist, gums up the works and makes the load dry more effective slowly. the only I had became from Sears and it not in any respect ran wisely because it did not have a clear out for the dryer function. nonetheless, even as it became operating it became large because it might pre-rinse cloth diapers, wash them, put in the cloth softener and dry them. fortunately, my daughter potty experienced early because the gadget quite lasted previous both year assure.

you can't very well put a heating element in a place where the water is standing over it. in a dish washer the water is sprayed on the dishes and its all pumped out thebn the heating element dries the dishes. and besides is a dish washer you are dealing with an item that withsatnds high temperatures where the clothes would catch fire and burn up

When I was in Ireland, our hotel had a washer/dryer, but I couldn't find one back here in America when I was appliance shopping. The manufacturers probably make more money by making them separate machines.

Clothes require more heat and air to dry, and tumble drying the dishes doesn't work well.
