1 - princip shoots and kills the archduke ferdinand on june 28, 1914 in sarajevo, austria-hungary
2 - the austria-hungrian government blames serbia and wants to crush serbian nationalism
3 - with germany's support, austria-hungray send serbia an ultimatum (agree or else face war) expecting a reply within 48 hours
4 - serbians agree to all but one of the ultimatum conditions
5 - austria-hungary refuses to compromise and declares war on serbia on july 26, 1914
6 - russia and france are serbia's allies, therefore they mobalize (prepare for war)
7 - germany orders russia and france to stop mobalizing but they refused
8 - germany declares war on russia on august 1, 1914
9 - germany declares war on france on august 2, 1914
10 - great britain upholds its treaty with belgium and declares war on germany on august 4, 1914

1945 Japan surrenders after two atomic bombs are dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
1946 The new constitution is promulgated.
1952 The Allied Occupation of Japan ends.
1956 Japan becomes member of the UN.
1972 Normalization of relations to China.
1973 Oil crisis.
