Kerry's comment wasn't taken out of context at all. He misspoke, plain and simple. There's was no misinterpretation of what he said. He MEANT to say something else, but he didn't. He said what he said.

Of course he made fun of the troops, anyone who does not beleive that have not listed to it. Even his own party members like Mrs Clinton agreed and wanted him to make an appology for it. and several others cancelled his comming to campaign for them.
