I was told by numerous people that mt first period after birth would start around 6 weeks. It has been 9 now and still no period! Is this ok? I have also been very nauseus and cramping. I had a vaginal birth and have not had any sex.

STOP WORRYING! Ecspecially if you are breast feeding! If your baby is nursing it could be a year or more before you have your next period. My son is almost ten months old and I have not had a period yet, because I am nursing. He is my third and it has been the same with all my kids.
Even if you are not nursing it can take some time for your hormones to regulate themselves again so do not panic.
The bigger issue is the nausua and cramping. Be sure you follow-up with your postpartum check to be sure that your uterus has gone back to the size it is supposed to be, so that you know there were no complications. Also pay attention to things like fever, so you know that you are not getting an infection.
But the period thing, just enjoy not having it!

I have a nine month old baby. Your question really depends a lot on if you breastfeeding or not. If you are, you will most likely not get your period until 1-4 months afterwards. If you did not breastfeed sometimes it takes a while. Personally when I stopped breastfeeding it took me 4 months to get my period back. When I did it was super painful. you should really go and see a gynecologist or your family physician because apparently ovarian cysts are common after birth, and that can change the regularity of your period.
Also you might have something called endometriosis. It's where your uterine lining becomes too thick. I'm not sure if that stops your period but it really is worth checking out.
Also you might get some help from wrongdiagnosis.com you can go search under symptoms and it gives you possible diseases/causes. Hope this helps some

Well theres no certain date as to when exactly you will get your first period back. It could be 10 weeks, 2 months etc.
It also depends on if your breastfeeding. Many women dont get their period back untill they stop breastfeeding(1 year etc.)
Its normal if you go longer then the 6 weeks that you were told.
The nausea and the cramps "could" be that you are fixing to start your period. Or could not, its normal to feel slightly nauseated and crampy . You can cramp a couple of days till your ready to start.
Don't worry and be greatful the old hag has not found you yet!

2 weeks of bleeding post-delivery is normal. As far as the 9 week "wait", don't worry, that's also normal. Any time now it should happen. Try not to stress about it; there's no way you're pregnant, your body just went through a huge process and is slowly getting back to normal.

no delivery administration is one hundred% yet maximum pills are ninety 9% or bigger. The pill she is going to place you on will artwork for scuffling with being pregnant too, there is not any distinction interior the pill for delivery conrol and on your era, its the comparable pill, so it has the comparable effect on human beings.(to boot side outcomes) you would be risk-free to have intercourse a million month after having the pill, so after one %.. basically determine you're taking it on the comparable time daily and remember this is doesnt help to avert STDs and STIs I had heavy classes to boot and that i'm now on Yaz delivery administration and it has made my classes a lot lighter.

*If you are nursing your baby your period will stop for a long time.
Lots of places have a hotline where you can call and ask questions. They have nurses who will answer for free.

One's period can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to come back after giving birth, particularly if you have been breastfeeding. If you've been having pain and other problems you should see your doctor.
