Good question.

Saddam Hussein has been found guilty in a court of Law and has been sentenced to be "Hanged by the Neck until dead".

The Iraqi legal system has no time limit on appeals.

Therefore, I do not believe that he will be executed in the near future.

Yes, but the verdict needs to go thru appeal process determine if there were improper procedures for coming up with a conviction. I think Saddam will be excuted in early 2007 and deserves to be being the thug he was.

I doubted that he'd even be convicted and sentenced to death, seeing as how the judges over there are really lenient. I couldn't believe how much crap they put up with concerning him. Every time I seen the trial bits on TV, it was always an outburst from him. That don't fly in a court in the US. He'll probably appeal the decision and he will probably die of natural causes before execution.

I so totally agree. I mean, one minute, they're all like, we're waiting to here when Saddam will be executed. Then, all of a sudden_BOOM! He's dead. I think they let him go or someone died for him or something. I mean, they're former ruler is "dead". They would surely have footage for everyone to see. Like they say, you gotta see to believe it. I really think somethings going on. Let's see what happens.

It's all theater. More fake than the moon landing. The "real" Saddam is kicking back easy in French Polynesia, and no, they won't really kill the hired actor now playing him. It wasn't in the contract.

Let's hope so. But what good will that do? I mean, yeah he deserves it and more, but then what? We were supposed to go after Bin Laden.
