My fiancee and I are having a small debate about this and would like some additional input. Do you believe that Severus Snape (From the Harry Potter Books) would be a Republican or a Democrat?

I think he would be a Democrat because he doesn't like Harry due to the way Harry's father treated him (Snape) when he was younger, and we have had more Republican presidents and sons in office, so that is sort of a Democrat way of thinking that Republicans have too much power in a generational kind of way. Also, Snape would be the sort of person to do anything he could to promote his underprivileged youth and supposed unfair treatment by those in power (the "in" students at the time) in whatever way he could to maintain his position and direct any possible resources toward the House of Slytherin (which he is head of), which is also a Democrat type platform.
