As soon as you wake and the realization hits that you were dreaming close your eyes and relax. This can help the memories stick of what you already remember and some details may follow.

Keeping a dream journal by your bed is also helpful. When you write down what you can remember as soon as possible after waking it can help you learn to hold onto memories while groggy more easily.

Keep a notebook and a pen by your bed table. As soon as you wake up, write it down.
