Several years ago I read a book about a group of girls who tortured and murdered another girl. I think the word or a form of the word innocence was in the title. I think it was published in the late 80's or early to mid 90's. And it was a true story. I remember it had several pictures in the middle of the book.

Im not sure what the genre would be, it was more of true encounter type of book. It is non fiction. I have no idea the publisher. I know when I read it, it was fresh off the shelf cause my parents worked for a distributing company so I got the new books before the stores did. Im trying to google it but its not helping me any. Im trying to remember when exactly I read it and it was definatly After 94 and before 98. So maybe that might help narrow it down. Ive been to my local library and even searched there database myself with no luck of finding the title or anything else.

Little Lost Angel: Little Lost Angel by Michael Quinlan, Claire Zion (Editor)
In this riveting true story of teenage obsession, torture, and murder, Quinlan, a staff member of the Louisville Courier-Journal--and the only journalist to interview all the parties involved--recounts the horrific events surrounding the murder of 12-year-old Shandra Sharer by a group of teenaged girls.

Could you mean the case of Sylvia Likens? She was slowly tortured to death by a group of neighborhood children and a grown woman. This took place in Indianapolis in 1965. Kate Millet, a famous American feminist, wrote a book about it named THE BASEMENT, which came out in 1979, but there have been other books about the murder too. But none of these books have the word innocence in the title.

OR

Could it be the case of Shandra Sharer? Killer in Idniana in 1992? The Crime Library artilce about her murder is named "The Death of Innocence."

I think Ginger has the right book! (There goes my 10 points....)

first of all I need the genres.
I know it is maybe an autobiography, or a memoir but did it have mystery or suspension romance in it?
I need more info cause there could be alot books about it. But the Liberians would be more of a help. And also we need the book company. As soon as i find out i will come back.
